Existential therapy is fundamentally different from every kind of therapy. This therapy is therapy for existence whereas psychotherapy is therapy for life, a remedy for the problems of living. Existential therapy unreverses existential reversals.

Many psychologists recognize the practice of existential therapy as variety of psychotherapy. It also adddresses life problems perspective and therefore act as variety of psychotherapy. Existential therapy is not a therapy for living but its the therapy for existence.

Goals of Existential therapy

#increasing self awareness and authentic living
#taking responsibility for decisions
#finding personal meaning: the person is encouraged to find her own meanings and truths
#coping with anxiety: therapists can help people examine roots of some of thier anxieties and learn how to better cope with them.
#living in the present:the goal is to get the person to believe to experience lifeand to live more fully in each moment

Depression Tip
A good tip for depression sufferers for THINKING POSITIVELY is to make sure that they are around positive people. The company you keep really influences whether you are THINKING POSITIVELY.
Depression Quote
Whenever someone sorrows, I do not say, 'forget it,' or 'it will pass,' or 'it could be worse' -- all of which deny the integrity of the painful experience. But I say, to the contrary, 'It is worse than you may allow yourself to think. Delve into the depth. Stay with the feeling. Think of it as a precious source of knowledge and guidance. Then and only then will you be ready to face it and be transformed in the process. - Peter Koestenbaum
