Limbitrol is a Chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline combination medication used to treat mental depression along with anxiety or nervous tension. This medication helps balance chemicals in your brain so you will not feel as depressed. It relieves symptoms such as sadness, worthlessness, and guilt. It also helps users regain interest in daily activities, and helps them not to sleep too much.

Limbitrol Dosage and Usage Information

This medication can be taken after meals or with food unless your doctor has told you to take it on an empty stomach. You will also need to take the exact dosage prescribed by your doctor and do not discontinue this medication unless your doctor guides you through that process.

Limbritol Side Effects

All medications have a list of possible side effects that people can experience.

Some of the less serious side effects include the following

  2. Clumsiness

Limbitrol Precautions

In Case of a Missed Dose

In the case of a missed dose you will need to either take the next dose as soon as you remember, and do not skip the missed dose. You should not take a double dose.

In Case of an Overdose

In the case of an overdose emergency you will need to seek medical attention immediately. In the case of a non-emergency related to overdose you can contact your nearest poison control center.

Limbitrol and Disposal Information

This medication should be kept away from children because it is very dangerous to them, especially young children. In addition, this medication should be kept away from direct heat or light, and should not be stored in damp places such as the bathroom or under a kitchen sink.
